We are an experienced freelance writer and photographer team , based in the beautiful Tonopah Valley of central Arizona.  We have written three books and hundreds of articles, focusing on the back roads of the American Southwest,  historic travel destinations,  art, antiques and collectibles,  preservation issues, auto racing history and vintage automobiles.

We have interviewed cowboy artists and race car drivers.  We have reported from antique shows, flea markets, classic car auctions and art exhibits.  An abiding interest in the "road less traveled" and the preservation of the American West and its historic travel destinations is evident in our writing.

Nancy was a regular columnist for Mobilia magazine,  Equine Images and readthewest.com.  As freelancers, our articles have been published in Maine Antique Digest, American Baby, eBay Magazine,  Classic Toy Trains, Toy Cars & Vehicles, Antique Trader Weekly, Antique Week, and Old Cars Weekly.

We are the founders and editors of Arizona Racing History.  We are constantly researching and updating the website content to accurately document the one hundred year history of motorsports in the American West.

Clips may be viewed online. Hard copies of published articles are available upon request.  We welcome your writer's guidelines.  Email:  nancy@autohobbies.com or contact us by snail mail at:
